This privacy policy explains how Toews Farms handles information in FarmTracker and related Toews Farms mobile and web tools, including the JTF iOS app.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide or create while using the app, including:

• Account and sign-in information, such as your user name and authentication status.
• Farm, field, crop year, crop scouting, field operation, time entry, weather, imagery, and map-related records.
• Photos and documents you choose to upload, including field photos, scouting photos, and receipt images.
• Location information when you allow location access, such as map position and photo location metadata used to tag field photos.
• Receipt details generated from uploaded receipt images, such as vendor, transaction date, total, and processing status.
• Device, app, and technical information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide farm mapping, field records, scouting, field operation, weather, imagery, receipt, and reporting features.
• Authenticate users and keep farm records associated with the correct account.
• Store and display photos, receipts, crop records, and related field information.
• Support offline sync and prevent duplicate submissions when the app reconnects.
• Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the app and related services.
• Respond to support requests and operational questions.

Camera, Photos, and Location

The mobile app may request camera access to scan receipts or capture field and scouting photos. It may request photo library access so you can choose images to upload or view photo thumbnails. It may request location access to show your position on the map and tag field photos. You can control these permissions in your device settings.

Cookies and Local Storage

The web service uses essential cookies for sign-in, session management, and security. The mobile app may store account tokens, queued records, and recent activity on your device so the app can stay signed in and work reliably, including during offline use.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with advertisers. We may share information with service providers only as needed to host, operate, secure, process, or support the app and related services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

Retention

Farm, field, scouting, operation, photo, receipt, and account records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain farm history, meet operational needs, or satisfy legal and accounting requirements. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect information, including HTTPS for data transmission and access controls for account-protected records. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You can choose whether to provide camera, photo library, and location permissions. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account, subject to operational, legal, accounting, and backup retention requirements.

Children

The app is intended for farm business and operational use. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
